Architecture
Red Vertical Stripes
The building’s most distinctive feature is its facade clad in vertical stripes. These bands are in various hues of red, punctuated by occasional dark grey and blue accents. These dynamic colour contrasts create a sense of rhythm and movement across the building’s surface.
Rectangular Form
The rectangular hall structure has a clean, geometric form with sharp edges.
Facade Design and Colour | Symbolic Meaning
The facade design mimics the appearance of a stylised flower field, with its striped pattern reflecting the floral theme suggested by the building’s name (“Blumenhalle” or Hall of Flowers). The different shades of red not only symbolise blooming flowers but also echo the official colour scheme of St. Veit an der Glan, creating a strong visual link to the town’s identity as the “Blumenstadt” (Town of Flowers).
Ground Level Glass Panels
Large glass sections at ground level provide transparency, natural light, and a visual connection between the interior and exterior spaces.
